Founders’ Day 2015

The perfect way to end the official days of schooling for our matrics was with the beautiful, traditional Thanksgiving Service. At this service we give thanks to God for the vision of our founders. It is the most exquisite service in the school’s calendar and the music department is to be congratulated on the quality of the music. The rendition of this year’s anthem, Asimbonanga, will long remain in our hearts and minds.

Thanksgiving is part of the Founder’s Day celebrations – with the Senior Prize-giving comprising the other important component. This year Old Girl and founder of Pathways for the severely disabled, Susie Blanckenberg, was honoured with the highest award conferred by the Board of Governors – the Galleon award. The Guest of honour was another Old Girl, Dr Anuschka Coovadia, who held her audience riveted by her powerful address.
