"Be Safe. Be Smart. Be Kind"
On 31 December 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported a cluster of pneumonia cases in Wuhan City, China. ‘Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2’ (SARS-CoV-2) was confirmed as the causative agent of what we now know as ‘Coronavirus Disease 2019’ (COVID-19). Since then, the virus has spread to more than 200 countries, including South Africa.
The safety and well-being of our girls and staff are of utmost importance and we have implemented strict safety protocols which are adhered to by all who enter the campus. All visitors to Durban Girls’ College are required to wear masks and to complete the following form before entering the school. https://screening.dgc.co.za
It is important to note that the College Community does not support any discrimination against people who test positive for COVID-19. We encourage those in our community to reach out in kindness and support.
